Green Reefers
Green Reefers ASA is a Norwegian shipping company engaged in the international refrigerated cargo market. The shipping company is a continuation of the listed company Nomadic Shipping ASA which changed its name to Green Reefers ASA in 2003.
At the end of 2009 the company had 45 vessels at its disposal, 32 of which are owned by the company. The rest of the fleet consists of chartered tonnage and pool ships. Green Reefers is listed on the Oslo Børs's main list. The company has a good 2 000 shareholders, and thea market value at the end of 2009 was about NOK 365 million.
The company has more vessels at its disposal than previously and is able to offer customers better service in the form of transport of refrigerated and frozen goods based on the door-to-door principle. In addition to its traditional shipping activity, Green Reefers now also has six wholly or partly owned freezer terminals.
